A review article by Professor Toshiyuki Ohnishi and colleagues, entitled “Metabolic Reception of Scents in Plant–Plant Communication: Aroma Glycosides and ‘Metabolic Reception of Scents’ Open New Defense Strategies,” has been published in Kagaku to Seibutsu.

This article provides an overview of how plants perceive scent compounds in the atmosphere, metabolize them, and connect them to defense responses, focusing on aroma glycosides and the concept of “metabolic reception of scents.”
